Christmas is over and I now have to force my brain into thinking about the rest of the year and it has been quite difficult. Everytime I sit in my workroom and try and design a new collection or making cards I instantly reach for the greens and reds, silver, gold or mirror card, in fact anything rich and oppulent (the theme I did for Christmas).
So I have decided not to force myself, for the meantime and use those colours for my new collections for this year. I have made a black and white intricate A5 thank you cards which was the design I used for some of my Christmas cards which I called The Art Deco range. I love love love vintage at the moment (as does the rest of the world) so I have also made a colection of vintage thank you cards. This is the digital range and come in packs of 4 (at time of writing there are 2 packs left). I can make more if people so desire, just send me an email, mammasheart@hotmail.co.uk.
I really like the idea of sending a card to a friend or family for no other reason than you are thinking of them. I am going to call it the inspire range. They will be simple cards with an inspirational saying or word on the front, so keep an eye out for them.I have to stay I am really enjoying making them. I have also been playing around with colours and shapes and alternative Valentines and Mother's Day cards for those of you that like something a little different.
At the moment the stock looks rather meagre and this is worrying me a little, so I am using every moment I have in my workroom, but to be honest it is not a hardship as I am keeping to my New Years resoulution of keeping the room tidy!
As always you can find all my cards on my Etsy.com page and I have opened a store on folksy.co.uk which is a UK based website.
Happy New Year everyone and here's to a very god 2012 for everybody.
